grew up in eastern Pennsylvania on a small hobby farm. It was the most amazing upbringing I could ask for. We had huge flower gardens and would eat fresh fruits and vegetables from the yard. We even had a road side stand where we sold honey from our own beehives! Growing up in this way gave me a great respect for nature, an awareness about the environment and the perfect balance within it.
My hometown was in a close proximity to New York City - only a two hour drive away. I'll never forget the first time I went there with my mom. It was a complete contrast to everything I was accustomed to, but I was immediately drawn to it. The electric energy... All the people... All the inspiration! I made up my mind that day, at 10 years old, that I would live in New York. It wasn't a question, it was a statement. So, one day I packed up my things and went!
Through hard work and determination, I worked in NY as a professional model for 6 years. It was an extraordinary. Everyday was filled with new, inspiring and creative people from all over the world. Eventually my career moved internationally and I spent 2 1/2 years traveling to many different countries. The experience opened my eyes to how vast the world is, but how people are just people and we are all connected in some crazy way.
My favorite was being in a country where I didn't understand the language. I just spent so much time observing the people. Watching their gestures and body language and expression. It was like being a child again. Having such a desire to understand and be understood, yet everything is new. In the end, it made me realize that so much of communication isn't really about what's being said- It's about the feelings and energies that individuals can pass to one another. This ignited my interest in the human condition and ultimately into acting.
It's been a wonderful experience and I'm excited to see acting career. my As soon as I came home I moved to Los Angeles to pursue what comes next! Stay tuned for updates!
